GREY COUNTY WOODLOT ASSOCIATION

ABOUT US

The Grey County Woodlot Association is an independent association comprised of people and organizations interested in improving the quality and health of woodlots in Grey County for this and future generations. The GCWA joined the Ontario Woodlot Association  as a chapter in March of 2009.

OBJECTIVES

  • promote sustainable forest management by increasing awareness of the forest's inherent social, economic, and environmental values
  • provide technical advice about forest management
  • assist members in marketing and utilizing forest products
  • enhance members' enjoyment of their woodlots through nature appreciation and recreational values
  • serve as a voice for the interest of the association with respect to legislation, taxation, and regulations as they affect forest property and business interests
