    Canadian Institute of Forestry - Southern Ontario Section The Canadian Institute of Forestry/Institut forestier du Canada (CIF/IFC) is a national voice for forestry professionals. The CIF/IFC (formed in 1908) has approximately 2,400 members organized in 22 sections across Canada representing members who are scientists, academics, technicians, foresters and professionals with an interest in the well being of the forest.

    Canadian Wildlife Federation Since 1962, CWF has advocated the protection of Canada's wild species and spaces. Representing over 300,000 members and supporters, the federation is one of Canada's largest non profit, non governmental conservation organization.

    Grand River Conservation Authority    The Grand River Conservation Authority is a corporate body established to enable municipalities to jointly undertake water and natural resource management on a watershed basis - for the benefit of all.

    Grey County Forest Stewardship Network The Grey County Forest Stewardship Network was founded in 1996 under the Ministry of Natural Resources Ontario Stewardship Program which blankets all stewardship councils in Ontario.     LandOwner Resource Centre    The LandOwner Resource Centre is a one-window information shop for landowners. The LRC is where you can get accurate, impartial, user-friendly information on forestry, agriculture, wildlife, water, soil and any land management issues.

    Land Stewardship Catalogue      This is an interactive website providing information on environmental demonstration projects which have been undertaken across S.W. Ontario by various agencies, organizations, community groups and individuals. This project was made possible through the committment of the Stewardship Councils of S.W. Ontario and many other individuals and organizations working together in partnership.

    Ontario Nature   Ontario Nature protects and restores natural habitats through research, education and conservation, connecting thousands of individuals and communities with nature.

    Ontario Stewardship     Based in southern Ontario, The Private Land Resource Stewardship Program answers the question, "What positive role can agencies play in influencing the land management practices of private landowners?" In today's era of financial constraints, partnerships and self-regulation, The Stewardship Program seeks to link landowners with funding, information and expertise to ensure that good management practices flourish on private land.

    Ontario Stewardship Centre The Ontario Stewardship Centre hub is affiliated with the growing national Stewardship Canada web portal that connects all Provinces and Territorial Hubs. The Stewardship Canada web portal is being developed to support a stewardship knowledge network in response to the premise that information is essential to good stewardship.

    Ontario Streams     an undertaking aimed at raising public awareness in Ontario of the numerous volunteer stream and watershed projects in progress. A Communications Network that is easy to use, and therefore likely to provide service to existing groups and projects, and support for new groups and projects

    Ontario Woodlot Association     The Ontario Woodlot Association is a non-profit organization with a network of regional chapters located across the province. The OWA brings woodlot owners together to share ideas and learn about forest management. We promote sustainable forestry practices in private forests to ensure the viability of these forests for future generations.

    Ontario's Forests     This site is maintained by the Forests Division of the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR). The Forests Division is committed to sustainable forest management - healthy forests providing balanced environmental, social and economic benefits now and for the future.

    Owen Sound Field Naturalists  The Owen Sound Field Naturalists (OSFN) was created in 1989 to provide Grey and Bruce naturalists with an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and enjoy activities and programs that would allow them to increase their understanding of natural history and conservation.

    Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority  Saugeen Conservation was established in 1950 and has a jurisdiction of over 1,800 square miles (over 4,600 square km), and owns more than 21,000 acres (8,000 ha) of forests, wetlands and Conservation Areas.

    Silvics of North America     The silvical characteristics of about 200 forest tree species and varieties are described. Most are native to the 50 United States and Puerto Rico, but a few are introduced and naturalized. Information on habitat, life history, and genetics is given for 15 genera, 63 species, and 20 varieties of conifers and for 58 genera, 128 species, and 6 varieties of hardwoods.

    Stewardship Canada Portal     The Stewardship Canada web portal is being developed to support a stewardship knowledge network in response to the premise that information is essential to good stewardship.

    Trees Ontario    The Trees Ontario Foundation (TOF) is in the process of revitalizing Ontario's tree-planting efforts on private land - not by itself, but through the development of an unprecedented partnership between all organizations with an interest in replenishing Ontario's private land forests.

    Wetland Habitat Fund   The Wetland Habitat Fund (WHF) provides private landowners in Ontario with technical and financial assistance for projects that improve the ecological integrity of wetland habitats.

    Wildcanada.net Wildcanada.net is a national conservation organization whose mandate is to help conservation minded Canadians and existing conservation groups protect wildlands and wildlife.

    Wildlife Habitat Canada    Wildlife Habitat Canada works through partnerships with communities, landowners, governments, non-government organizations, and industry to find effective solutions to complex environmental problems facing wildlife.

    Wood Heat   This site has lots of information on heating with wood.

    Woodlots Canada    This National website aims to connect provincial woodlot organizations, woodlot owners, and woodlot support agencies by providing a medium (a website) as a one-stop "porthole" for communications.
