GREY COUNTY WOODLOT ASSOCIATION A chapter of the "ONTARIO WOODLOT ASSOCIATION" Items of interest and importance to Association members and other citizens and visitors in Grey County. Affiliation with the Ontario Woodlot Association Notice to all members: At the Annual General Meeting on Saturday February 28th, 2009, the membership voted almost unanimously to join as a chapter of the Ontario Woodlot Association. Following a presentations by the Executive Director of the OWA, Mr. Wade Knight, a question and answer period provided sufficient information to support the decision to join the OWA. A meeting of the 2009 Board of Directors will be held in March to decide when the official date to join will be and to work out the specific details such as membership lists, pro-rated membership dues, etc. Members interested in learning more about the OWA can click the following link:

The Trees Ontario Foundation announced that starting in the fall of 2007, landowners can access a subsidized tree planting program for sites greater than 5 acres in size.
